The annual intake for GNM is 40.
Candidates for admission to GNM should have passed 10+2 with English as one subject, must have obtained a minimum of 40 % marks at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ ST candidates. Science group with Physics, Chemistry, Biology is preferable. In the absence of candidates with science group, candidates with other groups also will be considered.
Candidates from State open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government are also eligible for admission.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 with English having 40% marks in Vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council are also eligible for application.
Registered ANM with pass mark also can apply.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 with English having 40% marks in Vocational stream - Health Care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre are also eligible for application.
For disabled candidates: 5% disability reservation is considered for candidates with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity. Other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will be same as prescribed for the GNM programme. Disability certificate should be obtained from authorized Medical Board of State Government.
Any other reservation as per the State Govt. policy. Note: Reservation shall be applicable within the sanctioned number of the seats by INC and KNMC not above it.
Minimum age for admission will be 17 years. as on 31st December 2022). The upper age limit is 35years. For ANM/ LHV, there is no age bar.
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on the 31 December 2022. No relaxation of the minimum age will be allowed.
Self-attested copy of relevant page of school record namely SSLC/ICSE/CBSE/ certificate showing the date of birth / copy of birth certificate should be produced at the time of admission.
Duration of the Diploma Course in General Nursing and Midwifery shall be 3 years . The maximum period allowed to complete GNM course is 6 years.
